This is just paper tiger stuff from the E.U. The guys and gals getting the big bonuses are getting them under Contract of Employment terms. Any failure to pay a big bonus could lead to an employee sueing the bank!!
However my simply paying the bonus into an an account, outside the EU, the bonus is paid. Another way round it, is to pay in kind using Gold or Silver.
